Pharmacy2U ‘relaunching’ private doctor service as prescriptions jump 98%

Pharmacy2U has said its new “enhanced” platform for private online doctor service will offer a “faster” and more “personalised” service with a wider range of treatments available.

The company said that between October 2023 and April 2024 the number of patients using the service “grew significantly,” with a 98 per cent leap in prescriptions issued over that period.

The four most common conditions dealt with by the team of online doctors are weight loss, erectile dysfunction, hair loss and premature ejaculation, a spokesperson said.

Among the new website features are a “health hub” that is “designed to enhance patient engagement and streamline health management,” as well as “adherence email programmes designed to keep patients engaged and informed about their treatment progress”.

Pharmacy2U superintendent pharmacist Phil Day said: “We’re committed to supporting and empowering our patients’ health with safe and convenient access to private healthcare via and our online doctor service, to complement our NHS services.

“By investing in new technology, expanding the number of medical conditions we can treat and giving our patients access to more clinicians, we’re confident our already popular online doctor will provide an even better, market-leading healthcare service which will help many people.”
